Date: January 13, 2021
Number of Attendees: 14
Membership: Marty Shively reported that, due to the pandemic, all members have been notified that they will remain members in good standing without the need to pay additional dues until we begin to meet in person again. Members who wish to pay 2021 dues now may do so by using the AOB Pay Pal account or by sending a check. (11 members have paid dues so far)
Grundy Library Show: Due to the fact that the Grundy Library remains closed and is not likely to reopen by March, our annual show there has been cancelled for this year with plans to, hopefully, resume in March of 2022.
Lower Bucks Hospital Show: Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the current show will remain up for the foreseeable future. No new dates for future shows have been determined but Ilene Rubin is in close contact with hospital representatives and will send out a notice to our members when we can begin to plan for the next event.
Feedback on Survey: President, Rodney Miller reported that he had 30 replies to the survey concerning future activities of AOB during the pandemic. The results are that the majority of responders wished to continue with monthly Zoom meeting and to have an on line speaker every other month. Members voted to have our show at Silver Lake Nature Center in June.
Agenda items: If there is anything you would like to put on the agenda for an AOB meeting please get the information to Rodney Miller (firstname.lastname@example.org) by the Friday before the meeting.
Website: Don’t forget to check the website frequently for information about upcoming shows and opportunities to exhibit.
Our business meeting was followed by a presentation on “Fused Glass” by artist Karen Caldwell, owner (with her husband Geoff) of Sunflower Glass Studio in Stockton, New Jersey. Karen creates beautiful botanicals, arts and crafts pieces, and classical designs for windows and doors, as well as bowls, vases and other objects.
