Trained in the Fine Arts, Kathy DiBlassio spent her working
career in the design field. Beginning with fashion design, her company KDB
Designs was a successful women’s and children’s enterprise marketed to high end
boutiques and children’s clothing stores. When her children were well settled
in school, Kathy decided to explore other opportunities and in 1986 opened
Bucks County Kitchens inc. a high end
Kitchen and Bath Design and Remodeling Company near New Hope, which she
operated until her retirement in 2008.
Since then Kathy has gone back to her roots in the arts and
in her hometown of Bristol, Pa. Educated at St. Mary’s Hall in Burlington and
Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, Kathy grew up near the
Radcliffe Art Gallery in Bristol and was a student of Joe Pavone and a frequent
model for his visiting Artist’s groups. Her experiences
at the Gallery and her lifelong friendship with Mr Pavone were a major
influence in her decision to continue her education and bring her art into
everything she’s accomplished.
Today Kathy is concentrating on photography as a means of
creative expression and her focus, clarity of vision, and inquisitive mind have
helped her to produce some amazing images so far. But Kathy assures us that
this is just the beginning of a new chapter. She looks forward to where this
journey will take her.
